Richmond, tested Chevy ReeferVan

Volta Air Technologies had retrofitted a Chevy Express commercial van with a VAR150, currently parked in Richmond, BC. As a result, this reefer van is now suitable for transporting all products that need to be cooled at temperatures between -3 to 5 degrees Celsius (with insulation). This unit will safely deliver products such as meat products, eggs, vegetables, dairy products, flowers, and cold beverages. This installation of the VAR150 performs identically to retrofits on the Nissan NV200.

User’s Installation Process:

Installation of this unit takes 2 mechanics, 1 workday, and 1 morning for testing. No-idle electric reefers are 21st-century technology. If you are purchasing from any automotive HVAC company that offers electric reefer units, be sure that you or your preferred installer can carefully test its performance. Some companies will give you installation manuals if you prefer to install these units yourself (which most customers do). You can also visit your local truck repair shop. Some electric reefer units are not engine mounted, so installing this unit is much less complicated.
